“I must go now,” he said sorrowfully. “But I’ll be out this afternoon⁠—⁠I guess.”

Eepersip fell on her knees in front of him and said entreatingly: “Will you do something for me?”

“I will⁠—⁠maybe.”

“Don’t tell anybody about me.”
