“Play with us,” besought Betty.

“Yes; play rough,” demanded Billy.

Mrs. Kingdon interposed. “She’s too tired to do that,” she admonished the children.

“You can cut me some paper dolls. That won’t tire you.”

“I don’t want dolls!” scoffed Francis.
