Iran (Īrān).—Persia.

Istikhbal (istikbāl).—A riding out to meet an arriving guest or personage.

Istikhara (istiharat).—Omens (taking), chances.

Itizad-u-Sultaneh (Itizād us Saltanah).—A title, viz. the Support of the State.
