A pleasing mixture here below,
To those whose lot it is to name,
This emblem, of both joy and pain.
WHITE.
This lovely white then touch with joy,
And gain a fate without alloy;
Fair, pure and spotless is the life
Thus singled out from future strife.
SCARLET.
With caution this gay color name,
For wide and evil is its fame;
Inflammatory, it taints the air,
Portending strife and civil war.
GREEN.
This cool, inviting, lovely green,
Has to the single ever been
