Muluc. Having same root as month Mol, probably molay ik, "the winds united."

Oc. Brinton says it means "footprints," but Brasseur says the Maya word oc means "dog."

Chuen. Brinton says it was derived from chi, "with fangs," or chu, a calabash. Brasseur and Seler say it is a monkey, Schellhas "a snake." We would say this came from chi, "mouth," and is to represent a snake's mouth.

Eb. In Maya means "ladder," but the glyph is supposed to represent "an old man."
