[She exits R. Dr. Wadham looks after her; then picks up the parcels. Jerry's father, George Goodkind, enters L. He is about the Doctor's age—sixty—but he has had vast experience with life, and he enjoys comfort now because he has been very uncomfortable. Dr. Wadham

Goodkind

Dr. Wadham
Shall we go into my study?
Goodkind
