Capt. 74th Foot 2nd Nov., 1809. Was with Sir John Moore’s army during the whole of its operations until its returning from Madrid and Burgos to the north of Portugal. Employed on recruiting service 1810-Sept., 1812. Exchanged back to 35th Foot in 1813. Served with Lord Lynedoch’s army in the Netherlands. Recd. the medal for Waterloo.
