—Psalm 8:6.
It is significant, however, that Hebrew hymnal enthusiasm is not so much stirred by the thought of Yahwe as the creator of mankind, as it is by the thought of him as the creator of the Hebrew nation:
Let Israel rejoice in its maker,
Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.
—Psalm 149:2.
Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before Yahwe our maker,
For he is our god, and we are
His people and the sheep of his pasture.
—Psalm 95:6f.
