But the mercy of Yahwe is everlasting,
And his righteousness to children’s children,
To those who faithfully keep his covenant,
And remember his precepts to do them.

Marvellously tender is the quality of that mercy extended to the exiles returning to Jerusalem:
Yahwe buildeth up Jerusalem:
The dispersed of Israel he gathers together:
He healeth the broken in heart,
And bindeth up their wounds.
