JERRY DIDDLE.
Bought a fiddle,
To play to little boys,
He wax’d his string,
And began to sing,
Youth is the time for joys.
He went to a pig, and play’d a jig.

The pigs did grunt for joy,
Till the farmer came out,
And made a great rout,
Saying “Off, or I’ll cane you, my boy.”
He met an old woman to market a prancing,
He took out his fiddle, and set her a dancing.
