Mr Alexʳ Kerse said—Besyde that he is guiltie of the breake of the Caveats, there are many grosse faults proven against him; and therefore, albeit he hes not subscryvit the declinatour, he deserves deposition and excommunication. Lowdoun said—He was sent up to Court by the Counsell of the Bishops for the Kirk, that order might be tane for Papists; and, instead of that, he brought doune Articles from them, and newis came to this toune to give in the Bishops Declinatour.
