Strive for a larger Weal; Felicity
Foots only thus. Perplex thy brain for Man,
And his complacent peace: eschew the pelf
Of isolate happiness; so shall thy span
Compound the highest achievement. Manacles
Spell subtler bliss than liberty; in sooth
Are veriest liberty; yet if not so,
Thine the dear joy of conning out the cells
Of worthier constraint. Scan virtuous Truth;
Search out her compeers with a quickening throe
