Syn. Apis Annularis, Drury, App. vol. 2.

Habitat: New York.

Head ash-coloured. Eyes brown. Ocelli distinct. Tongue very distinct. Antennæ black, and the length of the thorax, which is black likewise. Abdomen black, with ash-coloured rings, both above and underneath, terminating in a sharp point. Legs brown; the fore-ones being nearly as long as the hinder.
