Similar in spirit is a line from the Alope (Fr. 108):

γυνὴ γυναικὶ σύμμαχος πέφυκέ πως,

or l. 329 of the Helen:

γυναῖκα γὰρ δὴ συμπονεῖν γυναικὶ χρή.

In this same play, too, Menelaus decides that his wife is the proper person to go and ask help of Theonoe:

σὸν ἔργον, ὡς γυναικὶ πρόσφορον γυνή.
