And in Isa. ix. 3 (r.v.), speaking of the glorious time when the government shall be upon the shoulder of the coming King:
“Thou hast multiplied the nation,
Thou hast increased their joy.”
Of that longed-for day Jeremiah sings (xxx. 19):
“I will multiply them
And they shall not be few;
I will also glorify them,
And they shall not be small.”
Ezekiel also is inspired to say:
