With the exception of the fragments of flower-stalks (Fig. 2 A) of some species of Compositae, the specimens figured here are all of well-known ancient Egyptian plants. Two of them, the Mimusops Schimperi and the Balanites aegyptiaca, are not now known in Egypt proper.
