To Whom It May Concern:
I hereby certify that I have used the Otis patent improved Steam Excavator the past twenty years, in all kinds of earth excavation, and believe it to be the best dry land excavator in use, and the only one that will work successfully in hardpan material. I have excavated and put into cars five million yards under one contract for making land in Boston; with two of these machines I loaded from seventy to eighty thousand yards per month.
