Now when Apollo from the cloud came forth

He took his chariot, drove towards the north,

From whence he came; while Boreas stretched a limb,

And sent a whirlwind to accompany him

Back to the regions of the world above:

But on his way he stay’d beneath a grove,

Of moderate magnificence, and where,

With solemn grandeur, dwelt—in midway air—
