“Did you tell anybody before you took ’em down that he was goin’ to hold ’em as security?”
“I didn’t want anybody to find out I was borrowing.”
“And you two was alone, I s’pose, when he took ’em and give you the money?”
“Yes.”
“Then it’s just your word against his?”
