Posted German Shepherd guards
merely curled their lips
And growled as I passed by them
into the main office.
The huge picture startled me.
Nothing else was there.
Only Big Brother, the Chief,
who looked down and stared.
Why, with so much obsidian,
coal, pitch and tar
Was it so hard, I ask of God,
to make black black
Or, given milk, snow, lilies, pearls,
to make white white?
Yet nowhere is there creature found
to have black bones
Or, among the many species,
one with white blood.
I could question other colors:
yellow, red, brown?
