His face broadened into a grin. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘these twists-up one gets into with relations.’
‘Yes,’ agreed Catherine.
‘Thank heaven I haven’t got any.’
‘Yes,’ agreed Catherine; and added with a faint sigh, her eyes on the distant sea, ‘I oughtn’t to have come at all.’
