I am bringing you merriment and joyous cheer,
(Enters. As he sings Children show various degrees of delight.)
Happy hearts and faces that smile, and smile,
I am bringing to you children, as I come.
(Winks, nods, shows full stockings and bundles in his pack.)
And the varied fruits of the Christmas tree,
