Owing to the enormous increase in the use of electrical machinery since the publication of the sixth edition of Dynamo-Electric Machinery the author has deemed it advisable to divide the work. Vol. I. is devoted to Direct Current Machinery and this the second part. Vol. II. Alternating Current Machinery. Amongst the many new features treated special mention must be made of the number of fine colored plates of windings and the many large folding scale drawings.
