2nd. Confess Christ before men.
WHOSOEVER therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:32.
IF thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10.
The “If” at the beginning of this last Scripture suggests two conditions.
1st. To "confess,” that is, make known with your mouth the Lord Jesus.
2nd. To “believe,” that is, really mean it in your heart.
If you meet these conditions God’s word says, “thou shalt be saved”. Our feelings are not to be depended upon.
