WHOSOEVER is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he can not sin, because he is born of God.
I John 3:9.
This means that the new nature “His seed” cannot sin, though the old nature does.
WE know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother, abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer; and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
I John 3:14-15.
The fact that we find ourselves loving God’s people and having fellowship with them, is one of the most simple proofs that we are born of God.

2nd. Read it prayerfully. God’s book cannot rightly be apprehended without the aid of God’s Spirit. “Open thou mine. eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law."
