Kensington near London 1800; violinist in orchestra of King’s theatre (now Her Majesty’s), Pall Mall; repetiteur for the ballet there; musical director of Adelphi, Olympic and Astley’s Amphitheatre where he composed for Andrew Ducrow music for his representation of “The Grecian Statues”; his musical compositions for pantomimes and melodramas were the best since those of Wm. Henry Ware. d. Gravesend 6 Nov. 1878.
