EVANS, William (son of Samuel Evans of Flintshire, landscape painter, who d. about 1835). b. Eton 4 Dec. 1798; ed. at Eton; drawing master at Eton 1818, resigned 1856; associate of Old Society of Painters in water-colours 1828, member 1830; exhibited a great number of paintings; head of one of the houses at Eton 1856 to death. d.
