Pomely, adj. marked with round spots like an apple, dappled, A 616; Pomely-gris, dapple-gray, G 559. Cotgrave has 'Gris pommelé, a dapple gray.' Also 'Pommelé, daple, or dapled; also round, or plump, as an apple.' Also 'Pommeler, to grow round or plump like an apple; also, to daple.'
