The "Student's Own Book," by Paul Reeves, which forms the first of the Handy-Book Series, is notable among other points in giving "a good deal for the money." The amount of matter in this book, which is in clear and neat, though small type, fully equals that in other books of twice the size and cost. It contains many new pieces not to be found in any of the school text-books. It aims to meet the wants of a large number outside of the school-room, while it is also well adapted for school use.
