Of Men diseased, and they have thought
By calling on Thy gracious Name
That they the Body’s Cure have wrought: 10
But ’tis Thy Word alone that brings
Health to the Soul, O King of Kings!
“Let there be Light!” th’ Almighty said,
And o’er the World came flashing Light.
“Let there be Light!” the Saviour [said],
And straight the Blind received his Sight.
At Jesus’ Word the Darkness fled
