And my law as the apple of thine eye.
Bind them upon thy fingers;
Write them upon the table of thine heart.”[546]
And the prophet Jeremiah foretells the recognition of this truth in the coming day of better things:
“Behold the days come, saith the Lord,
That I will make a new covenant
With the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
