56. What is the substance of the second table?
Love to ourselves and our neighbor.
Matt. 22:39. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
57. May we love ourselves?
Yes, for God has made us, but we must beware of selfishness.
58. What should a man care for most of all?
For his soul, the immortal part of himself.
Matt. 16:26. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
