The precise effect of skilful pedalling is obtained by A Patent Pedal-Bass Stop, which plays in the 16 ft. tone the lowest note only of any chord or succession of chords. The effect of a second manual is obtained by Patent Melodic Solo Stops, whereby the melody of a hymn or voluntary is made to stand out above the accompaniment. To obtain these effects no special skill is necessary. The Transposer enables the pitch of a tune to be changed to bring the music within the reach of the singer or congregation. The “Positive” Organ can easily be blown by the feet or by a hand-blower. The “Positive” Organ occupies no more floor-space than a Harmonium.
