Which should be given the preference whenever water pressure is obtainable, either from a constant main service or from a cistern not less than say 15 ft. above the place where the filter is to be fixed. Cast iron, white enamelled inside and brown outside, with nickel-plated fittings, yielding under a pressure of 35 lbs. to 40 lbs. to the square inch about 25 gallons per hour.
