HAND POWER PASSENGER LIFT.
Lifts for raising Invalids are often made on the hand power principle. The Gearing is of amply strong spur wheel and pinion type, machined V wheels for the ropes, and a powerful band brake. All the wheels are securely fitted to steel shafts running in suitable bearings. One hemp or manilla rope is usually used for suspending the cage, and the guides are of well seasoned wood, carefully prepared and jointed. The Cage can of course be made in any design, but unless specially ordered consists of American whitewood, v jointed, stained and varnished ; but if required it can be made of a design similar to illustration in mahogany or oak at an increased expenditure. The Lift is hauled up and down by an endless rope, and the brake cord is arranged close at hand for applying as required.
Prices of Lift as above described. For travel of 10 ft. with Cage as described above.
