Ferranti Electric Fire gives a clean bright heat in five minutes, and is the most convenient form of Heater obtainable. The bright glowing heat of the centre Disc is concentrated and reflected, making possible a comforting comparison with a cheerful coal fire. The Electric Fire can be used for making toast in the old fashioned way, and grilling can be accomplished with a Dutch oven as before an open fire. The Concave Reflector is pivotted so that it can be tilted horizontally, in which position a small kettle of water can be placed on the Quartz Disc and boiled in six minutes.
