Harrods will be glad if Orders for each Department are made out separately, as it facilitates the execution thereof.
Town Customers are respectfully solicited to order a Week’s supply of Groceries, as it minimises the cost of distribution and enables us to reduce prices still further.
All bottles of Sauces, &c., are designated as ¼ bottles, ½ bottles, and bottles, instead of ½ pints, pints and quarts, in consequence of the New Weights and Measures Act, and all Tinned Goods about the specified weights.
Great care should be observed in unpacking Groceries, etc., as many instances occur daily of articles being found in Cases returned to Harrods as empty.
Customers will oblige and facilitate the execution and despatch of Orders by kindly affixing prices, kind and quantity of article required, and not to order “same as before” as this entails reference and consequently delay.
Customers will kindly note that in executing Orders for Goods not appearing in Catalogue some delay may occur; although, of course, the Directors will see that the Orders are executed with the greatest possible rapidity.
The following Prices are subject to Fluctuations of the Market. Alterations and additions are published in “Weekly Price List,” post free on application. Special Supplementary Lists are issued when necessary.
Any article not quoted in list which has to be procured, will be sent carriage forward.
