Instructions for Use: Fill two-thirds of the glass bowl of the Lamp with pure Alcohol, and put the Platinum Cylinder on the three projecting wires, light the Lamp and let it burn until the Platinum Cylinder is red hot, then put the cover on the flame for one moment only and remove it at once; the flame will be extinguished, but the Platinum Cylinder remains red hot by the resulting fumes.
