Colour List.

The following list is correct generally, but as the desired colour on some fabrics cannot always be produced, two colours should be given in the order preferred, to save delay.

Any Colour can be dyed Black. White can be dyed any colour.

Amber can be dyed Black, Brown, Claret, Dark Crimson, Dark Green, Light Green, Scarlet, Light Brown, Olive, Cardinal and Peacock.

Black Satins, Silks, Velvets, Broadcloths, and Feathers cannot be dyed any other colour, as they are generally fast.

Blue can be dyed Dark Brown, Green, Dark Mauve, Navy, Olive, Peacock and Plum.

Blue (pale) can be dyed almost any colour.

Brown can be dyed Claret, Dark Green, Olive, Dark Prune.
