At Harrods there is a wonderful series of separate Service Departments run for the convenience of clients. These undertake the insurance of life, property and servants, buy, sell or let houses and estates, buy or sell stocks and shares, let safes in which to keep valuables, let out on hire such useful things as pianos, cutlery, plate, linen, &c. Harrods will at the shortest notice supply everything for social functions and carry same through without trouble to the hostess. One can book seats at the Theatres, secure tickets for railway journeys, book sea passages, despatch household and other property to any part of the world. You can get your hair dressed, hire a carriage or motor car, lunch or dine on the premises, enjoy the club and reading room, join an up-to-date library, advertise in any paper, warehouse your furniture and effects, store furs, tapestries, etc., in a specially constructed cold-air chamber, and open a banking account.
