Since its inception Harrods’ Telephone Order Office has proved an unqualified success. Being efficiently organised as a special department, all orders are carefully taken, and the tantalising treatment often meted out to orders by telephone, where they are dealt with in haphazard manner, is entirely avoided.
The staff of Order Clerks is a specially trained force always in attendance—Day and Night—to attend to customers’ enquiries and orders.
Orders ’phoned during business hours are promptly executed and dispatched, and those received after business hours are sent by the early morning delivery vans and mails next day.
