35 While he was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?" 36 But ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe." 37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, he saw a tumult, and people weeping and wailing loudly. 39 And when he came in, he said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping." 40 And they laughed at him. But after he put them all outside, he took the child's father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha cumi!" which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise." 42 Immediately the girl stood up and walked (she was twelve years of age). And they were overcome with great amazement. 43 He strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat.
LK 8:40-56
40 Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him. 41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue; and he fell at Jesus' feet and begged him to come to his house, 42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.
But as he went, the people pressed round him. 43 And a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years and could not be healed by anyone, 44 came up behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment; and immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, "Who touched me?" When all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the multitudes surround you and press upon you!" 46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; for I know that power has gone out from me." 47 When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace."
49 While he was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue's house and said, "Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more." 50 But Jesus on hearing this answered him, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be well." 51 When he came into the house he permitted no one to go in with him except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 Now all were wailing and mourning for her; but he said, "Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping." 53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and called, saying, "Child, arise." 55 Then her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat. 56 And her parents were astonished, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.
22.10 Jesus heals two blind men and Casts out a Demon
MT 9:27-34
27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." 28 When he had entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, "See that no one knows it." 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.
32 As they were going out, behold, a mute and demon-possessed man was brought to him. 33 And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds marveled, saying, "Never was anything like this seen in Israel." 34 But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the prince of demons."
