Are of my own invention, and I venture to say with confidence that any one possessed of a fair amount of strength, and accustomed to the use of the weapon, will be able, after some practice, to perform all the sword feats which are mentioned.
In conclusion, I trust I may be allowed, not in the usual formal manner, but as an assurance of respectful regard, to dedicate this little book to my pupils, whose attention and intelligence have yielded me unceasing encouragement, and to whose kind suggestion that I should put my system of instruction into a written form, these pages are due.
