Seats numbered 1, 3, 5, 7, etc., and 2, 4, 6, 8, etc., are on the sides of the house, numbers being counted from the center to the wall.

Seats numbered 101, 102, 103, etc., are in the center section of the theatre.

These are the exceptions:

BILTMORE: No center section.

BOOTH: Seats in all three sections are numbered consecutively, 1, 2, 3, etc., being distinguished by "Section 1," for left side of the house, "Section 2," for center, and "Section 3," for right.

CARNEGIE HALL: House has four sections. Seats 1 to 17 are center left, 2 to 18 center right, higher odd numbers, extreme left, and higher even numbers, extreme right.

CORT: Seats in all three sections numbered consecutively, 1, 2, 3, etc., being distinguished by "Right," "Center," and "Left."

JOHN GOLDEN: Two sections only and distinguished by "Right" and "Left."

NEW YORK CITY CENTER: Four sections, seats 1, 3, 5, etc., being extreme left; 2, 4, 6, etc., extreme right; 101, 103, etc., center left; and 102, 104, etc., center right.
