is not unlike the chorus of a Latin hymn of Berthier of Orleans, which was sung under the tent and on the field:

“Lignum crucis

Signum ducis

Sequitur exercitus;

Quod non cessit

Sed præcessit

In vi Sancti Spiritus.”
