If the lost Greek of Irenaeus (i. 521) were recovered, we should probably find
αγαπατε τους εχθρους 'υμων, και προσευχεσθε 'υπερ των μισουντων 'υμας:
and of Polycarp (ad Philipp. c. 12),
προσευχεσθε 'υπερ των διωκοντων και μισουντων 'υμας.
