This is one of the oldest systems of defence against the Queen's Gambit. I had played it before in this Tournament against Kostic, and no doubt Marshall expected it. At times I change my defences,
or rather systems of defence; on the other hand, during a Tournament, if one of them has given me good results, I generally play it all the time.
