The first number of this valuable index was published June 1, 1866, and has been since regularly continued fortnightly; it gives a list of the contents of all the articles contained in the principal scientific periodicals published on the Continent (translated into English), with an alphabetical list of the names of the authors, and a most complete classified Index of Subjects, which much adds to its value.
