“It’s a present for the teacher.”
“What!” exclaimed John, in surprise.
“Are you surprised that I am going to give him a present?” said Peter.
“Yes. I thought you didn’t like him.”

“I’ll tell you. I’m going to fasten the hen in his chair, so that when he comes he will find his seat occupied.
