Suppose when I wished to speak to you I should call you boy instead of Harry, how would you like it?

“I shouldn’t like it.”

Well, I might call you pupil?

“I shouldn’t like that either.”

How would it do to call you child, Mary?

“No one would know which child.”

What must I call any of you that you may know who is meant?
